About me

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at Tecnologico de Monterrey, in Monterrey, Mexico. My main research interests inlcude:

  • Optical Vortices in Partially Coherent Light
  • Propagation of Electromagnetic Beams
  • Nondiffracting Optical Beams
  • Laser Resonators
  • Numerical Methods of Special Functions

Current Activities

I'm currently working on the study of the propagation dynamics of focused vector Helmholtz-Gauss beams, particularly on the occurrence of focal shifts. I'm also working in the field of singular optics, studying the behavior of optical vortices in spatially incoherent light.
