I am a Professor in the Photonics and Mathematical Optics Group of the Optics Center and the Physics Department, Tecnológico de Monterrey, México. My research interests are primarily in the propagation of classical fields, especially:

	Nondiffracting propagation of wavefields
	Solutions of the Helmholtz and Paraxial Wave equation: Mathieu, Parabolic, and Ince-Gaussian beams
	Laser resonators
	Numerical methods of special functions
	Quantum and classical billiards
